NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The New Providence American Legion Post 433 annual Cookie Walk, in its ninth year, is always one of the tastiest of holiday events drawing a large crowd on a snowy Saturday afternoon. The guests chose cookies from the wide selection of home-baked favorites. Proceeds benefit the Christopher B. Cosgrove III USMC Memorial Fund which help to pay for necessary renovations to the American Legion building on Elkwood Avenue
For $5, customers purchased a box to be fill with cookies. And with hundreds of dozens of cookies to choose from, people often filled more than one box.
Event organizer Debbie Piccireli, along with her dance student "cookie elves" helped the steady stream of customers to select their cookies.
