BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – Guests can win more than 100 prize baskets, enjoy a full-scale Italian-themed dinner, take part in a super 50/50 raffle, and make a tangible difference to thousands of rescue dogs on March 3 as Home for Good Dog Rescue’s annual “Taste of Italy” Spaghetti & Meatballs Dinner and Tricky Tray returns for the ninth consecutive year to the Long Hill Community Center, 264 S. Warren Avenue in Stirling, NJ.

Tickets and tables are still available for this exciting annual event, which is one of three large-scale fundraisers the Berkeley Heights-based non-profit organization hosts each year.

“As ‘Taste of Italy’ returns, we cannot wait to welcome our community of supporters to what is sure to be a record-breaking evening of fun,” Toni Marie Kaferstein, Home for Good Dog Rescue’s Coordinator of Events and Volunteers, said.

In previous years, basket winners have taken home luxury housewares; gift certificates; pet products; electronics, including televisions, iPads, and laptop computers; and more.

“The event is a great time but also makes a real impact on the number of animals we can help each and every day,” Kaferstein continued.

Home for Good Dog Rescue (HFGDR) is a 100-percent foster-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) dog rescue established in 2010 in Summit, NJ with offices in Berkeley Heights, NJ. It rescues homeless dogs from high-kill shelters in the South, which are overflowing with unwanted dogs on the brink of being euthanized.

It socializes, cares for, and provides them life-saving medical care at their property in Aiken, SC, transports them to their rescue in New Jersey, and nurtures them in their network of foster families while they await adoption into loving homes – giving them a second chance at life. To date, is has saved nearly 6,000 dogs and puppies from euthanasia.

This year’s menu at “Taste of Italy” is generously sponsored by Meatball Obsession Plus, 41 Halsey Street in Newark New Jersey.

Home for Good Dog Rescue is also proud to recognize gold-level multi-event sponsor Westfield Veterinary Group for helping not only make this event possible but for supporting all of the organization's 2018 fundraising events.

They are joined at "Taste of Italy" by silver-level sponsor Roy Morance and bronze-level sponsors Mundi Westport Group, Schechner Lifson Corporation, Laura DeCotiis, Schembre and Gannon, and Smoothie King in Summit, NJ.

Sponsorship opportunities are available online at www.HomeforGoodDogs.org

Tickets for the annual “Taste of Italy” Spaghetti Dinner & Tricky Tray are now available for $40 per adult or for $15 per child under the age of 12 at www.HomeforGoodDogs.org. Doors open at 6:30 PM on March 3.

What's Hot and What's Not

Summer is a great time to take a step back, sip a cool beverage, and take a look at what’s going on in the world of college admissions.  Departments use the summer to evaluate how their year went and plan on any changes they want to make for the fall.  Did they over-enroll? Under-enroll?  What application materials were useful to them?  Which were redundant or time ...
