BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Mountain Park Elementary had a very special visit from favorite author Kate McMullan of the Dragon Slayers' Academy series, Myth-O-Mania series and more!

She met with the students from each grade level throughout the day and described her writing process and her inspirations. The second and third grade presentations focused on The Dragon Slayers' Series while the fourth and fifth grade presentations centered around Myth-O-Mania, which the students were so excited to discuss. McMullan mentioned how impressed she was with the knowledge the students already had about Greek mythology.

Throughout her presentations she showed pictures and illustrations from her life (her two dogs were a favorite) and her stories which brought on lots of laughter, excitement and inspiration! She answered questions the students had and listened to their comments about her books, favorite characters, and more. The students especially enjoyed being able to meet with McMullan individually as she signed their books.

This fun and inspiring visit was organized by MP's librarian and sponsored by the PTO.
