Got wrinkles? Maybe feeling a little bloated? The Summit/New Providence/Berkeley Heights BIG pod will discuss “Alternatives to Plastic Surgery” at its March 23 meeting, to be held at Twin Maples, 214 Springfield Ave. in Summit, from 10-11:30am. Guests are welcome. The guest speaker will be Short Hills Plastic Surgeon Dr. Beverly Friedlander.
BIG (Believe, Inspire, Grow) is a women’s empowerment group that helps women unlock their true potential by providing the inspiration, tools, and community to help grow themselves and their businesses. BIG uses face-to-face support to help showcase each woman’s gifts and talents, using the power of positive peer support, trend-setting information, and opportunities to explore, develop and embrace goals.
Currently celebrating its five-year anniversary this month, BIG Summit/New Providence/Berkeley Heights seeks to empower all women. “What began as a group for women entrepreneurs with monthly discussions on business branding, legal issues for business and social media strategy has morphed into a group that discusses the whole woman,” said Pod Leader Melanie Wilson.
“This includes the topics in her personal life which can impact her business, such as relationships, health, and hormones. This monthly meeting is one that will explore one of the pillars outside of traditional entrepreneurship. When we look and feel our best, we are most successful in all of our endeavors—whether we are presenting in the boardroom, fundraising for a PTO, or trying to influence a family member,” Wilson said.
The local group has over 90 members. Membership in BIG allows you to attend meetings in other towns as part of the annual $259 membership fees, with access to private Facebook groups, online seminars, and special events. Contact Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org to rsvp for this meeting. Free for first-time guests.
Save the date for the Fifth Annual Expo of Women Entrepreneurs to be held June 8 at Twin Maples from 10am – 1pm. Pod members will showcase their products and services to the local community at this public event.
