BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - The B.I.G. Young Leaders Program hit the ground running, as young leaders often do. Waves of high school sophomore, junior and senior girls from New Jersey arrived - resumes and dreams in hand – for festive inaugural kick-off gatherings held in Bernardsville and Montclair. And they weren’t just there to enjoy the free snacks and chances to win prizes.
This is no ordinary program for young women. B.I.G.’s Young Leaders yearlong initiative aims to help guide and inspire the next generation of women leaders to become confident and empowered.
Young Leaders events will feature friendly, uplifting and motivating speakers, lots of two-way dialogue, and plenty of new friendships. Sessions strive to inspire future women leaders in every profession – whether it’s business, entertainment, science, sports, politics or motherhood.
The next Young Leaders Meeting is set for Sunday, Feb. 22 from 4-6 p.m. at the Great Room at St. John's on the Mountain, 379 Mt. Harmony Road in Bernardsville and will explore the topic, “Finding Your Own Way - A self-discovery, self-confidence and self-esteem workshop for teens (and moms can come too),” led by Jennifer Bronsnick, MSW, LCSW, CHHC.
“Even the girls you think have it together are struggling. No one’s perfect,” Bronsnick said. “And the good news is you don’t have to be either."
