BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – Jacqueline Bartlett will serve as Assistant Principal of Governor Livingston High School (GLHS), beginning July 1. Board of Education President Doug Reinstein made the announcement at the beginning of the board meeting to a gym filled with parents and students waiting for the annual end of school awards event.

Mrs. Bartlett, who is currently teaching Social Studies at GLHS, has been teaching at the school for the past six years. She completed her administrative internship at the school during the 2016-2017 school year. Prior to her arrival in Berkeley Heights, she was a Social Studies teacher at Bloomfield High School for three years.

“Jackie Bartlett has been an outstanding teacher at Governor Livingston for several years and she is well-respected among the high school staff for her work ethic, preparedness and calm demeanor,” said Reinstein. “She also experienced a very successful internship at the school, during which time she demonstrated the organizational skills necessary to meet the demands of the Assistant Principal position. Jackie joined a high-performing GL administrative team and we are confident that Mrs. Bartlett will become a great addition to this team.”

Mrs. Bartlett earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey and she received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Outside of the classroom, she has served as faculty advisor to the GLHS Link Crew and the Model United Nations Club, in addition to being selected by The College Board as a reader for Advanced Placement (AP) History Examinations.
