Grace Community Music presents a concert by a quartet from UPTOWN FLUTES Professional Flute Ensemble; Virginia Schulze-Johnson, Elise Carter, Rebecca Vega and Jeanne Fessenden, performing works by Tucker, Mozart and McMichael. They will be joined by students from Grace Church’s Summer Flute Academy, Madison flute students who have been learning ensemble music under the direction of Dr. Anne Matlack.  The students will perform works by Bach, Handel, Mozart and Boismortier, and join with the professionals in a version of Jay Ungar’s Ashokan Farewell arranged by Ricky Lombardo for flute choir including bass and alto flutes.

The concert takes place in the air-conditioned sanctuary and beautiful acoustics of Grace Church, 4 Madison Ave. at Kings Rd. at 7 pm on Thursday July 12.  The community is welcome. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door. A reception follows.
