The championship game ended favorably for this Berkeley Heights' team, but it didn't begin that way. The Berkeley Heights 11U B team faced the early challenge of fielding a team. After recruiting "just enough players," the weather was their next obstacle. Without sufficient practice time, the team started the season with four straight losses.

The Berkeley Heights 11 U B team fulfilled the Cinderella prophesy as the team connected mid-season leading to the playoffs and ultimately winning the championship game.
