BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Berkeley Heights Education Foundation (BHEF) is grateful to all of its corporate and individual donors for their generous support of the Berkley Heights Education Foundation.  As a result of their generous donations during the 2016-2017 school year the BHEF was able to provide gifts, grants and programs totaling over $40,000. The BHEF is especially grateful to their generous corporate sponsors: The Connell Company, Embassy Suites by Hilton Berkeley Heights, The Smith Chiropractic Foundation, Gabriele Fitness and Performance and Peak Medical.

Each year in the fall, the BHEF offers teachers the opportunity to apply for a grant to provide innovative and creative programming to students. The BHEF awarded grants to teachers in all six Berkeley Heights schools. Highlights of awarded grants include: a Makerspace for  the Columbia Middle School Library, a giant Imagination Playground for all MKM students to enjoy year after year, innovative Wobble and Ball Chairs at all three elementary schools: Hughes, Mountain Park and Woodruff, and a Robotics Field for the Robotics Team at GL High School.

Additionally, the BHEF is proud to offer scholarships for academic excellence and outstanding community service at both Columbia Middle School and Governor Livingston high School. This year, the BHEF Scholarship recipients were Ryan Matthews and Paige Wathen at CMS, and Lauren Boyd and Niyant Narang at GL High School.
