Brian Nigro arrested Phillip Jacob, 25 years of age from Newark, NJ for a $200 warrant out of the City of Irvington during the course of a motor vehicle stop. Phillips was charged with driving while suspended and maintenance of lamps. He was later released after satisfying the conditions of bail. WARRANT ARREST: On 3/17/17 at 11:17 am, Ptl. Donald Maxwell arrested Alvyn Lowe Jr, 48 years of age from Irvington, NJ for a $1500 warrant out of the City of Plainfield. Lowe Jr. was charged with driving while suspended, obstruction of vision and being an unlicensed driver. He was transferred to the custody of Plainfield Police Department on their warrant. THEFT: On 3/19/17 at 11:22 am, Ptl. Donald Maxwell took a walk-in report from a victim reporting the theft of his wallet and cell phone from Lifetime Fitness. The victim reports that on 3/18/17 at 9:00 pm, he placed his cell phone and wallet on the floor while playing basketball. After approximately 2 hours the victim returned to get his wallet and cell phone and they were gone. Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Investigation Division at 908-464-1111. WARRANT ARREST: On 3/19/17 at 10:34 pm, Ptl. Thomas Marshall arrested Majid Mitchell, 26 years of age from Allentown, PA on a $625 warrant out of the City of Fort Lee. Mitchell was charged with driving while suspended, driving an uninsured vehicle and maintenance of lamps. He was later released after satisfying the conditions of his bail.
