BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Berkeley Heights Police Department is currently investigating two burglaries which occurred on Dogwood Lane and Plymouth Drive within the past month.  The first burglary was reported on September 24, 2013 on Dogwood Lane.  The victim reported that various pieces of jewelry values at over $5,000.00 were taken from the residence.  Entry was forced to the home and Berkeley Heights Detectives processed the scene.

The second burglary occurred on Plymouth Drive on October 16, 2013.  The victims also reported a large amount of jewelry taken from the residence worth an undetermined value at this time.  Entry was also forced to this residence.  Preliminary investigation resulted in a description of a suspicious white van with a roof rack and no markings seen parked in the area at approximately 12:00 pm.  The Berkeley Heights Police Department is asking residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious incidents by calling 464-1111.  Both matters are actively being investigated by the Investigations Division.
