The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights recently honored the town’s newest Eagle Scout, John V. Friedlander.
At a ceremony that took place on Feb. 3, at the VFW hall in Berkeley Heights, Rotary Club member Marcella Gencarelli, Manager of Hilltop Community Bank’s Berkeley Heights office, presented Scout Friedlander with a Certificate of Achievement from the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians on behalf of the Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights. In addition to the Rotary certificate, Gencarelli also presented Scout Friedlander with a autographed art print entitled “Eagle Scout Court of Honor” by Joseph Csatari, official artist of the Boy Scouts of America. This autographed work was provided by Dr. Hal Daume, also of the Rotary Club, via special arrangement with Csatari.
Founded in 1966, the Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights is celebrating its 47th continuous year of service to the community. The Club’s members are civic-minded local professionals and business-people. RCBH meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at The Chimney Rock Inn, 342 Valley Road, in Gillette The luncheon-and-program fee is $15. All meetings are open to the public.
