Well folks. I have been outspoken and even somewhat combative at times. I have spoken my piece about many things whether it's opinion or fact. But this one takes the cake. I cannot understand for the life of me why anybody would want to cover the police blue line. This blue line has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with anything that's going on in the world today.
The blue line was done after 9/11 to honor its heroes. It was meant for unity and to show our appreciation. What does this prove. What is to be gained by it. Who in their right mind would even think of doing this? My father was a sergeant for Berkeley Heights for 25 years. My nephew is a police officer. I am completely disgusted by this behavior. And any police officer that would agree to cover this line up is a disgrace. Can you imagine what this does for morale?
I'm not even going to get into opinions, facts, or comments about the current situation in this world today because this blue line has nothing to do with it. It was put up before this stuff happened and it was put up for a separate reason. Any citizen that is insulted by a blue line has real head issues. And should go for some type of mental check up. Where is this type of behavior going to end? What's next?
To see a town like Berkeley Heights engage in this type of behavior makes me sick to my stomach. Anyone who knows me and what I write about knows I would love to take a shot at politicians on this one but I can't. Anybody working for the government of Berkeley Heights you all should be ashamed of yourselves. So go ahead and point your finger at the troublemaker but at least I got the guts to stand up for what I think is right.
