SUMMIT, NJ - 'Café Q', a meeting place for LGBTQ middle and high schoolers, will reopen its doors on Sunday, September 15, from 3 - 5 p.m. Hosted by Congregation Beth Hatikvah, 'Café Q' is a non-denominational haven where LGBTQ kids can meet new people, snack, listen to music and just relax and socialize.

'Café Q' was initiated last year by a parent who had searched for socializing opportunities for her LGBTQ daughter and found that few organized activities were available in Northern New Jersey The 'Café' is advised and chaperoned by gay adults and parents of LGBTQ kids, but the kids themselves decide what the 'Café' will be and plan activities such as last spring’s karaoke day.

The 'Café' is open every third Sunday of the month. Admission is free.  For more information, contact or call 908-277-0200.

Congregation Beth Hatikvah is located at 36 Chatham Road.
