BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Smiles on children’s faces, hot chocolate, Santa Claus, Springfield Avenue merchants filled with holiday cheer, petting zoo, espresso machines, holiday music and many more.  Yes, it was the excitement of the Berkeley Heights Tree Lighting and 1st Annual Winter Walk!  The Spotlight on Berkeley Heights show has captured this community moment on video and invites everyone to once again experience the holiday joy.

From early evening to late into the night, the Springfield Avenue Streets were bustling with holiday cheer.  One merchant had holiday characters come alive in their store while another merchant entertained children with a bounce house.  Throughout the streets and park, holiday music filled the air whether it was the saxophonist in Peppertown Park or the Christmas Carolers on Springfield Avenue.

“The event was fantastic,” stated Dr. Donald DeFabio, producer and host of Spotlight on Berkeley Heights. In his many years of hosting the show, Dr. DeFabio considered this event a great concept in which businesses, community organizations and residents came together. “A special thanks to the many businesses who welcomed the film crew into their stores and provided a holiday video hello,” said Nicholas Schiavo, Communications Committee Chairman.

The Communications Committee encourages residents to volunteer in the Berkeley Heights community.  It’s a great way to meet people, have an enjoyable time and bring the community to life.
