BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Berkeley Heights Fire Department and Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad  were dispatched on Sunday afternoon at 3:53 p.m. to a motor vehicle collision at Park Edge with a person trapped. 

"On arrival, Firefighters made contact with the driver, other then being nervous about being trapped, she reported that she was uninjured," said BHFD Deputy Chief Jim Hopkins.  

Firefighters stabilized the car to prevent it from sliding or falling. The dog in the car was then removed from the car, then a ladder was placed against the car, and the driver was safely assisted to the ground and evaluated by BHVRS.
