BASKING RIDGE, NJ- The local chapter of Room to Read has published a community cookbook with over 150 recipes from local chefs, shops and home cooks called RECIPES WORTH READING.
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Room to Read invites you to cook up some philanthropy and try the soda bread recipe submitted by our Princeton volunteer Sarah Branon.
Room to Read focuses on literacy and gender equality in education. Gender inequity is the centrally moral issue of this century. 100% of cookbook sales benefit girls in Room to Read's Girls' Education Program. Selling 12 cookbooks covers the scholarship fees for one girl for an entire year, which includes: books, supplies, uniforms, tutoring, mentoring and a bicycle to enable her to get to school. www.roomtoread.org
Cookbooks can be purchased at the Postal Annex in Dewy Meadows or The Gourmet Touch Bakery in Liberty Corner. For more information or to volunteer, contact Nicole Smith: firstname.lastname@example.org
