SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Willow Grove Presbyterian Church is hosting their first Christmas Festival Fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 26, from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. The featured event will be an extensive silent auction, featuring many types of gift baskets, gift cards from national companies as well as local eateries and shops, fine jewelry, and other valuable items.  Proceeds from the silent auction will raise money to restore the historic stained glass window in the Willow Grove Church Old Stone Chapel, first built in 1887.

The Christmas Festival Fundraiser is being held throughout the church building and also offers a Chapel tour with historical displays about the significance of the Old Stone Chapel. There will be a Christmas gift shop run by the children’s mission group of Willow Grove Church, kid's carnival with games, bake sale, and craft centers for adults and children.  The STAR99.1 radio station will be present, and the festival will also have live music with talented local musicians. Delicious homemade hot food will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon with items such as baked ziti, meatball subs, hotdogs, and soup.

Also at the Festival is a blanket drive in partnership with Monarch Housing authority in Cranford.  All kinds of warm bed coverings will be collected, including blankets, comforters, afghans, and quilts, and will be distributed in December to homeless shelters across Union County.

Willow Grove Presbyterian Church is located at 1961 Raritan Road in Scotch Plains, across from the southside firehouse and the soccer field. There is ample on-site parking and the building is fully handicapped accessible.  Please visit www.willowgrovechurch.org for details or contact the church office at 908-232-5678 or office@willowgrovechurch.org.
