The outing includes a lunch, shotgun start, cocktail reception and dinner/awards ceremony.
Fox Hollow Golf Course, a Hal Purdy design, was originally built in 1967 and was completely redesigned in 2000. The course sprawls across acres of rolling woodlands with challenging elevation changes throughout the par-70 course. There is a practice facility with a grass driving range, a bunkered green, and an expansive putting green.
The outing benefits the "Going Home" initiative to return the parish to the property where the Catholic life in Berkeley Heights was born.
The church will acquire the town library, the original Mt. Carmel Hall, the site of the first Mass. The library will be renovated to become their new Parish Center. The funds from the Going Home capital campaign also allow the parish to renovate and expand the "Little Church" to double the size of the worship space and add new gathering spaces -- a new Narthex and a renovated lower hall.
