NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – City public schools resumed classes after a 90-minute delayed opening on Jan. 28 as cleanup continued following a snowstorm that dumped nearly a foot of snow in some areas.

Elsewhere, NJ Transit reopened the Jersey Avenue commuter station on its Northeast Corridor line, and train service was running on schedule.

The National Weather Service forecast scattered snow showers over two days that could drop less than a half inch, with mostly cloudy skies and temperature highs of 35 degrees.  

No reports of traffic accidents or problems with road travel around the city by 511nj.org.
