BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Columbia Middle School will host its first Stem League competition on Friday, May 12. Eight teams of students from four different schools from around the state will compete by working on a task that challenges them to design and build prototypes, apply research and scientific principles, and present their findings to a panel of judges from industry.

Students are presented with the design task on the morning of the event and have the day to develop their design solution.

New Jersey STEM  League is a grassroots organization started by teachers and administrators from districts around the state. The event hosted at Columbia Middle School is proudly sponsored by the Middle School PTO and the Berkeley Heights Education Foundation.
