NEW YORK, NY - Comedian Michael Somerville, a Berkeley Heights native, will perform standup on Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday, July 24. Somerville's comedy routine revolves largely on relationships and touches upon everyday life from dieting to doing laundry.  

Somerville wrote and hosted the dating show "Wingman" and provides humorous life advice on The Hallmark Channel. He serves as a panelist on various programs for VH1, Bravo and The History Channel, and spent three years as Glamour Magazine's renowned dating columnist "Jake: A Man's Opinion". 

His start in stand-up came as a dare while attending the University of Notre Dame. He found himself emceeing Fighting Irish pep rallies and was an extra in the movie "Rudy."
