Continuo Arts' Host Summer Musical Theater Conservatory for Youth, Teens; Audition Process Open for Program Staged July 5-23

SUMMIT, NJ - The Continuo Arts Foundation will offer an intensive three-week Summer Musical Theater Conservatory for children and teens., staging two productions -- “Legally Blonde Jr.” and “Voices Rising Showcase” -- with Samantha Ferrara and Candace Wicke serving as artistic director and musical director, respectively.

Students, ranging in age from 7 - 18, are chosen by audition, with the program running from July 5 - 23, with two performances on July 23 at 4 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the shows are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.

An annual three-week musical theater immersion experience, young artists learn about the key elements of musical theater and work in the areas that best match their interests and talents.

A professional staff provides exciting enrichment in voice, acting, dance, choreography, staging, improvisation, character study, make-up techniques, stage management and set design, designed to inspire performers in a creative, positive and interactive environment

The Continuo Arts Players is made up of rising stars from surrounding communities, including Summit, Westfield, Chatham, Short Hills, Millburn, Berkeley Heights, New Providence, Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Clifton, Maplewood and Cranford.

Rehearsals are held at Twin Maples, located 214 Springfield Avenue, and performances take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church, located at 587 Springfield Avenue.
