Berkeley Heights Councilman John Bonacci will address the Summit Old Guard on June 1 about the conflicts and experiences that he has seen during his two terms as an elected official. As a scientists and engineer, he will discuss the issues based on examples from his tenure as a councilman. The Tuesday meeting is held at the New Providence Municipal Center.

John is a co-author of 101 global patents issued to Dupont, Mobil Oil and the Engelhard Corporation. He has published numerous referred articles in world wide journals, spoken at dozens of seminars where chaired the event.

All area 50-plus active men are invited to attend meetings of the Summit Area Old Guard on Tuesday mornings at the New Providence Municipal Center at 360 Elkwood Avenue. A coffee hour starts at 9:15 that is followed by a 10 AM short business meeting. Old Guard members participate in sports, bridge, hikes, trips, plays, concerts and cultural events.
