BERKELEY HEIGHTS, Nj- All Berkeley Heights public schools will open on a two-hour delay on Monday, Jan. 12 because of multiple weather reports calling for icy and inclement weather during the morning commute.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 1 PM
EST MONDAY...

* HAZARD TYPES...A WINTRY MIX OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN...AND
  THEN SOME PLAIN RAIN DURING THE DAY MONDAY. SNOW IS BRIEFLY
  POSSIBLE AT THE START AND PRECIPITATION MAY CHANGE BACK BRIEFLY
  TO A SNOW AND SLEET MIXTURE MONDAY EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...AROUND ONE TENTH OF AN INCH OF ICE AND LITTLE IF
  ANY SNOW OR SLEET.

* TIMING...A MIXTURE OF SNOW, SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP
  BEFORE THE START OF THE MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE...THEN CHANGE TO
  FREEZING RAIN BY THE START OF THE MORNING COMMUTE. PLAIN RAIN IS
  LIKELY TO OCCUR DURING THE LATE MORNING INTO THE MIDDLE
  AFTERNOON. PRECIPITATION COULD TRANSITION TO A WINTRY MIXTURE
  BEFORE ENDING BY MONDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...UNTREATED ROADS COULD BE SLIPPERY MAKING THE MORNING
  COMMUTE MORE DIFFICULT THAN USUAL. UNTREATED SIDEWALKS AND
  WALKWAYS WILL ALSO BE HAZARDOUS.

* TEMPERATURES...RISING FROM THE MID 20S AT THE ONSET OF
  PRECIPITATION TO THE MID 30S DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY ON
  MONDAY BEFORE FALLING TO AROUND FREEZING MONDAY EVENING.
