PLAINFIELD, NJ - Justin Lang, a 16-year old resident of North Plainfield, is working on his Eagle Scout service project, documenting artifacts in Plainfield's Drake House Museum.

Eagle Projects allow scouts the chance to demonstrate leadership skills, overseeing projects that benefit the community.

The objectives of Lang's project include taking inventory of the artifacts located in the museum, and entering the information into a software program to ensure the digital preservation of the records for generations to come.

In June 1777, the Drake House hosted General George Washington; 240 years later, Washington and his wife Martha made another visit.

The Drake House is partnering with Justin to collect donations for this important project.  All donations will go towards software upgrades needed to catalog items, and for photography supplies.  If you would like to contribute, please visit the GoFundMe page.
