eMedical Urgent Care will offer free Compression-only CPR classes from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at its offices, 369 Springfield Ave. Berkeley Heights. All classes are about an hour long. There is a limit of eight people per class.
Each year, more than 350,000 Americans experience sudden cardiac arrest. Only 10 percent of individuals who experience cardiac arrest outside of the hospital will survive, according to the American Heart Association. However, when a bystander performs CPR until EMS arrives, studies show that the odds of the victim surviving can triple.
Please join us to learn this life-saving skill as we promote the annual World CPR Challenge with free CPR classes.
