Enroll Today in Union County College’s Cisco Networking Academy

CRANFORD – Union County College is offering the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) programdesigned for students who are seeking entry-level positions as a network administrator, network designer, network technician, or support engineer.

Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, the CCNA program, teaches students how to design, build and maintain local, national and global networks. The coursework consists of four 70-hour modules covering Introduction to Networks, Routing and Switching Essentials, Scaling Networks, and Connecting Networks.

While working through the modules, students will study with an instructor in a classroom and have access to expert content online. They will practice learned skills using the Cisco Packet Tracer, a network configuration simulation tool and collaborate on project and presentations while in the classroom. Participants interested in this program should have basic knowledge of computers and networking, an eighth grade reading, writing and math proficiency level and the desire to learn.

The first course, Introduction to Networks will be offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. beginning on Nov. 1 and on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. beginning Nov. 4.  The cost of module one is $949. Modules two through four will also be $949 each. After completion of all four modules, students will be prepared to sit for the CCNA exam.
