BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Gov. Livingston's boys and girls fencing teams both picked up a win against Livingston at home last Tuesday.

GL girls dominated early on and widened their lead against Livingston, clinching in Round 2 and finishing 23-4.  Both sabre and foil squads went 7-2, and the epee squad 9-0.  Sabre Chrissy Drobish and foilist Gia Lasalle both won all three of their bouts.  Lady Highlanders are 8-3 for the season so far.  

The boys had a close match through all of Round 1 and Round 2, with GL never ahead by more than two points.  Sabre fencer Justin Lewis opened Round 3 with a rousing, winning bout against Livingston's sabre lead-off fencer to widen GL's lead to 11-8.  Soon after, sabre Ian McLean and foilists Alton Grossman and Tyler Man followed up with three winning bouts in a row to clinch 14-9.  Final score was 15-12.  Highlanders have 5 wins, 5 losses for the season to date.
