BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - A steady crowd poured into Mt. Carmel Fairgrounds on Saturday for the first ever Pour into Summer Wine Festival in Berkeley Heights. Guests enjoyed day one of the two-day festival that features over 150 different wines from 10 local New Jersey wineries.
Gates are open noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 9. Attendees over 21 will be able to taste and purchase wines from Auburn Road Vineyards, Cedar Rose Vineyards, DiMatteo Vineyards, Four Sisters Winery, Plagidos Winery, Terra Nonno Winery, Villa Milagro Winery, Villari Vineyards and Wagonhouse Winery.
This event is family-friendly with plenty of food options, live musical entertainment, lawn games and activities for kids.
Sunday's entertainment features Mario & The Slyders from noon to 3 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the afternoon of live music with friends.
In addition to the more than 10 area wineries that will be pouring, vendors also are at the festival featuring items such as cheese, spice blends, candles, Cutco knives, and much more.
Advance sampling ticket, 21 Years and Older: $20. At the gate sampling ticket (cash only) 21 years and older: $25. Non-sampling spectator at the gate ticket (cash only): $5. Those under 21 get in free. Anyone sampling must show ID at the gate. Admission includes a souvenir tasting glass.

A portion of the proceeds will go to The Mt. Carmel Society/Berkeley Heights. A $1 parking fee will also be donated to the Mt. Carmel Society.
