UNION COUNTY, NJ — A flash flood warning is in effect for Union County Thursday morning until 11:15 a.m., the National Weather Service said.

Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain, the Weather Service said. A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low-lying spots, the Weather Service said.
