Irish musician and teacher Rose Flanagan will be giving a free Irish music demonstration at Wharton Music Center in Berkeley Heights. Rose and her students will be playing and discussing what makes Irish Music special on Wednesday July 6th at 9:15am. Rose and her fellow Irish music teachers will be holding an Irish music camp at Wharton Music Center July 25th -29th the camp will be holding classes on the fiddle, flute, tin whistle and Bodhran (Irish drum) classes will also be given in Irish step dancing. 

Rose has been teaching the next generation of Irish musicians in her hometown of Pearl River, NY for a number of years. Many of Rose’s students have competed successfully in the All-Ireland completions and will be competing again this August in Ireland. Rose was a founding member of the highly regarded all women traditional Irish music band Cherish the Ladies.
