SUMMIT, NJ — Starting Tuesday, January 9, SAGE Eldercare will offer a free bereavement support group for people age 60 and older who have lost a spouse in the last year.

The support group will be led by Licensed Clinical Social Worker Kathy Larkin, SAGE’s InfoCare Manager, and provide the opportunity to understand the grieving process, gain emotional support, and share coping strategies.  The group will meet weekly for ten consecutive weeks and run January 9 through March 13, 2 – 3:30 pm at SAGE, 290 Broad Street, Summit.

“Grieving is part of the healing process after a loss, but it is not easy.  Meeting with others who can relate can be very beneficial during this time,” said Larkin.
