Free Webinar for Parents and Caregivers of Kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Children’s Specialized Hospital will host a free webinar, Transitioning Adolescent Healthcare into Adulthood, for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  The webinar will consist of presentations from various experts at Children’s Specialized Hospital and will provide support and guidance for parents and caregivers to help navigate their child’s journey into adulthood.

Children’s Specialized Hospital will offer an English session on May 22 from 12 pm- 1:30 pm and a Spanish session on May 19 from 11 am- 12:30 pm. Topics will include:

Children’s Specialized is the region’s largest provider of services for children with ASD. With a focus on early intervention and treatment, it is one of the few programs in New Jersey that provides coordinated, multidisciplinary care for children, adolescents and their families. Dedicated to providing family-centered care, Children’s Specialized is constantly finding new ways to meet the ever-changing needs of its patients and families.

Home to 19 developmental and behavioral specialists, the most in the country, Children’s Specialized is offering families and caregivers a unique opportunity to interact and learn directly from the experts. “These webinars will provide families with concrete and structured information and resources to help them navigate the next phase in their child’s journey into adulthood,” said Adrienne Robertiello, autism educator at Children’s Specialized Hospital.

This event is open to the public and attendees do not need to be Children’s Specialized Hospital patients or employees. Clinicians, professionals in the field, parents, and caregivers are encouraged to attend.
