BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The owners of the Garden of Eden Marketplace on Springfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights are showing their appreciation for all that police, firefighters, EMS members, and U.S. Armed Forces members (current and retired) do by offering them a "First  Responders" discount of 10% on any non-sale items in the store, any time.  All they need to do to get set up for the permanent discount is show their badge or id during checkout.

Store General Manager Robert Rosa commented, “Everything we sell in the store is about improving health, wellness, and Quality of Life.  In that spirit, we feel giving back to first responders and veterans is the right thing to do.  They also give their all to improve everyone’s quality of life in the community, and we appreciate it.”  While Garden of Eden specializes in organic and natural foods that promote better health, the store also stocks a full array of standard products that include everything shoppers would look for or during a weekly shopping visit.

Rosa also added, “We tailor what we sell to the health-conscious.  While we’ve also gained recognition for having one of the best selection of gourmet meats, cheeses, fish, fruit, seasonings, and other cooking needs that discriminating chefs look for, we make sure our items are more affordable than most people think.  Unlike some stores we compete with, we work hard to make sure our prices are competitive.  ‘Whole paycheck’ jokes about how much a customer needs to leave with the cashier simply don’t apply here.”
