
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – Gov. Livingston girls tennis team opened home against Jonathan Dayton with a 3-2 win.
Dayton’s first two singles players won their matches and the Highlanders won the rest.
Senior Fabiana Suarez, Dayton’s court one, beat Victoria Zhow 7-5, 5-7 and 10-3. On court two, Dayton’s senior Melanie Schickler beat Lily Walsh 3-6, 6-2, and 10-6.
Governor Livingston’s court three singles Jen Aronow beat Dayton’s sophomore Jordyn Engel 6-0, 6-0. The Highlander’s first doubles Jenna Bails and Rebecca Radin beat Dayton’s senior Zoe Frei and junior Sheila Flood 7-5, 6-2, while Highlander’s second doubles of Maggie Collins and Gretchen Probst beat Dayton’s junior Elisa Neri and senior Jessica Steir 6-1, 6-1.
