WARREN, NJ - Gov. Livingston boys swimming suffered their second loss of the season against the highly ranked Westfield HS Tuesday night at home, losing 115-55.

The line-up had the boys swimming "off events" this evening.  Gov. Livingston head coach David Closs' strategy was to keep his team fresh, so they are at their absolute best this Sunday for the Union County Championships.

The Medley Relay Team of Ellis Sartorio, Chris Rampaul-Pino, David Martinez, and Jason Paprocki took first place with a time of 1:42.75. The boys came to swim today capturing many of the second place wins against the talented Westfield team.

Coach Closs recognized swimmers that stood out. "Rafe Barnum had an outstanding swim in the 50 Free today....that was the swim of the meet for me today....Chris Rampaul-Pino had a beautiful swim in the IM; I was really pleased," said Closs. "To see these kids swim off events and swim good times...That's what I was looking for and it did not disappoint." he said.

The GL boys team will be gearing up for Sunday, Jan. 21 when they swim at Rutger's Sonny Werblin Pool in the Union County Championships.
