PLAINFIELD, NJ - Governor Livingston Girls Tennis, coached by Bill Meakem, placed fifth place at the Union County Tournament held on September 18,19 at Hub Stine Field in Plainfield.

Placing fourth, senior Alyssa Lopes competed hard in the First Singles position losing to first place finisher, Emma Verpoucke of Kent Place in the semifinal round. Followed by freshman Jen Collins, in the Second Singles position, finishing in third place. Collins was defeated in the semifinal round by second place finisher Ryan Freeman of Summit. Completing the singles positions was senior Alexa Jacobs, in Third Singles with a seventh place finish.

The First Doubles team of Kelly Endres and Jacqueline Spero, both seniors, finished in seventh place and senior Joy Ho and Patricia Koziol, Second Doubles, had a tough match against Cranford.
