BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - At Thursday's Board of Education meeting, the board voted to hire Lawrence Seid as an assistant principal at Gov. Livingston at a salary of $107,500.
Seid, who will join the Berkeley Heights district when released by the Summit school district, [where he held a teaching position in the History Department at the high school], will replace Mark Cantagallo, who resigned his township school post on August 20 because he has been appointed principal of Cranford High School.
The township board also approved a maternity leave for Gov. Livingston assistant principal Tara Oliveira to run from November 29 of this year through January 29 of next year.
To replace Oliveira during her maternity leave and to serve in place of Seid until he is released by his current district, the board named Jennifer Dinardi of Hillsborough as interim assistant principal at Gov. Livingston, effective from September 1 of this year through February 1 of next year at a rate of $500 per day.
