Gov. Livingston Hockey Players Danny Kramer and Matt Altomare Selected To The UCIHL All Stars

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Gov. Livingston hockey has reason to celebrate the end of the season with Danny Kramer and Matt Altomare among the names selected as the UCIHL All Stars .

Freshman Danny Kramer achieved the honor of being selected to the UCIHL All Stars Second Team.  Kramer is amongst the top ranked scorers in Union County with 26 goals and 9 assists, four of those goals were scored in the last game against West Orange.

"Extremely proud of the tireless game in and game out effort from our leading scorer. He was looking to get better every practice and every game, and you could see it as the season went and his point totals started to rack up. Its nice to know that we have such great young talent that we can build a winning program around," said Head Coach Matt Anderson of Kramer's accomplishments.

Sophomore goalie Matt Altomare was selected as an honorable mention with 748 shots against and save percentage of .892.  

The Highlanders, plagued with injuries throughout the season, finished the last seven games without Altomare, who was out with a broken hand.  

"Alto has certainly been the backbone of our team for the majority of the season. He has been sorely missed," said Anderson. 

"Even with the lop sided scores the past couple weeks, our young team has grown up quite a bit," said Anderson. "I'm looking forward to a breakout season next year for our program and to maybe surprise a few teams that got the better of us this year."

Kramer and Altomare will be recognized along with the other UCIHL All Star honorees at Warinanco on Saturday, Feb. 22.
