BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Governor Livingston High School and Principal Robert Nixon recently honored senior Dan Baroff as their 2017 Unsung Hero. Baroff was honored with many distinguished high school students in Union County for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to their respective high school and community.

Baroff was acknowledged by Nixon, who congratulated him for his Sports Drive which resulted in an abundance of equipment being shipped to three villages in Ghana Africa. What started out as an idea and an inspiration to give back to others less fortunate, turned into a widespread community based response and exceeded all expectations.

Baroff had told TAPinto he is hopeful that the overwhelming generosity and success of the drive will serve as a catalyst for future drives. "It has been a passion of mine to provide underprivileged children with an opportunity to experience playing a sport with appropriate equipment and protective gear," said Baroff.
