Boys Swimming

After a hiatus from winter holidays, the Highlander boys opened strong in their first swim meet of 2018. Eager to display the results of their efforts from training, they arrived, pumped and ready to take on Cranford. The veteran GL boys were placed in "off events"; that is, events they normally don't excel in. Despite this change up, the GL men established a first place sweep early on, which they never gave up. They also managed to capture a lion's share of second places.

Jimmy Pitingolo, co-captain, said, "We were confident going into the meet, based on how we’ve been preparing and performing so far, so we were ready to put in some good swims. At the meet the guys were able to really use that momentum and show that we’re ready to compete against Cranford, and ready for the upcoming championship season."

The GL Highlander Swim Teams will take on Westfield in a home meet Tuesday, January 16.
