UNION, NJ - Gov. Livingston High School competed in the Union County Tournament Saturday, Jan. 16 at Union High School. The team placed second behind Cranford, who came away with the championship title. GL had several notable individual performances.

GL's senior co-captain Austin Senkarik [number 4 seed] beat Tim Murphy [number 2 seed] from Cranford with a 1-0 decision, at the 138lb weight class and junior Dan Tomlinson [number 1 seed] defeated David Brown [number 2 seed] from Union with a 3-2 decision at the 285lb weight class to secure the individual county championships.  

Nic Mele (120lb), Quinn Haddad (160lb), Chris Battone (182lb), and Jack Blasch(195lb)  from GL placed second. Jake Pecorelli (106lb), Nick Deluca (152) and Turner Haddad (170lb) placed fourth in their respective weight class.
