BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Although he currently attends Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, Governor Livingston High School Class of 2010 graduate and FAYD Apparel founder Max Machado hasn’t forgotten his Jersey roots.
In an effort to rebuild the coast, Machado will be donating proceeds from his “Restore the Shore” tee-shirts to local organizations focused on reviving New Jersey beaches. “It’s great to give back to a place where I have so many great memories,” Machado explained.
FAYD Apparel, Machado’s clothing brand, is a double acronym that stands for Forget All Your Doubts, Follow All Your Dreams. “It’s a brand that everybody can relate to… [and] can be used as a motivator if you’re facing adversity in your life,” Machado told The Alternative Press.
“I started my own brand last summer and wanted to have a charity aspect to it,” Machado said. Knowing people personally affected by Hurricane Sandy, Machado decided to design tee-shirts in honor of his beloved Jersey Shore.
Starting in mid-December, “Restore the Shore” shirts can be ordered online at www.faydapparel.com for $18 plus shipping and handling. Campus representatives will also being selling Machado’s shirts at various colleges, including James Madison University, Rutgers University, and his own school, Bryant University.
