Governor Livingston High School recently inducted six students into Quill and Scroll, the International Honor Society for high school journalists. Quill and Scroll includes over 14,000 schools in the United States and countries around the world. The honor society was founded at the University of Iowa in 1926, by a group of journalism teachers who wished to recognize and reward worthy high school journalists. This year, two students from the student newspaper, The Highlander, and four students from Claymore, the school yearbook, have been inducted into Quill and Scroll. Both publications have won awards in past years, most recently the GL yearbook, winning awards two years in a row from the Garden State Press Association, the gold award in 2015 and the bronze in 2016.
