The Summit Greater Area Chapter of Mothers & More "Power of a Purse Drive" has begun and in just two weeks, they have collected over 75 purses and added a new drop off location. The chapter is now halfway to its 150 purse goal and only two weeks are left! Do you have a purse or purses that you no longer use? All of the purses collected will be distributed to Dress for Success ® Morris County in time for Mother's Day.

Why collect purses? The purse symbolizes a woman's economic power, something we wish for all women, especially those in need. No matter where you are in the social ladder, there is "power in your purse:" having money of your own to control, to buy things and provide for yourself and your children. Please help this chapter give women in need new purses.

From now through May 7th, you can drop off at two locations: The Connection for Women and Families, 79 Maple Street, Summit, NJ or Madison Community House, 25 Cook Avenue, Madison, NJ. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to donate to this very important cause. The Summit Greater Area Chapter wishes to thank everyone who has contributed so far, each bag will make a real difference in some woman's future.

Dress for Success® Morris County promotes economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. The services are free of charge and available to clients referred through New Jersey social service agencies. Their clients come to them from a continually expanding and diverse group of non-profit and government agencies including homeless shelters, immigration services, job training programs, educational institutions and domestic violence shelters, among many other organizations.
