Harmonium Choral Society has a limited number of openings in all voice parts for experienced singers with good sight-reading ability. Auditions for the 2012-2013 concert season will be held by appointment August 25 thru September 8 in Madison. Please email Dr. Anne Matlack, Artistic Director, firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an audition as soon as possible. Weekly rehearsals resume Sunday, September 9, at Grace Lutheran Church in Mendham.
This year Harmonium looks forward to celebrating Dr. Matlack's 25th Year Anniversary as Artistic Director of Harmonium with three major concerts – held in December, March and June - as well as special appearances throughout the year. This season's repertoire ranges from Mozart to Monteverdi, Barber to Whitacre. All soloists are taken from within the chorus’s 100-voice membership, over one third of whom are professional musicians and/or music educators. Singers are also invited to audition for the Harmonium Chamber Singers, a 20-voice vocal ensemble selected from the full Harmonium chorus. In addition, Harmonium is planning an exciting concert tour to Greece and Turkey in July 2013 which has a few openings.
