BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – Top Prize at this year’s Rubber Ducky Race on June 3rd is a pair of side-by-side matinee orchestra seats for “Hamilton” on Sunday, October 1st—a $1,100 value!
Additional race prizes include a 4-Month Family Membership (new member only) at LifeTime Fitness worth $1,000, 12 Monthly Flower Arrangements by Hall’s Garden Center worth $500, a Kid’s Birthday Party at the Berkeley Heights Y worth $300, a Dine Around the Towns Coupon Basket worth $250, and another Dine Around Coupon Basket worth $150.
So, if one of the duckies you adopt is a fast “swimmer,” you just might find yourself at the hottest performance on Broadway, and more!
Admission is FREE at the Rubber Ducky Festival on Saturday, June 3, from 12 Noon till 4 at the Passaic River Park, 151 Springfield Avenue, Berkeley Heights. The feature event will again be the Rubber Ducky Race, when thousands of tiny ducks float down the Passaic River in their quest to be the first to the finish line for their respective “parents.”
Throughout all weekends in May, you can find Rubber Ducky “adoption” displays at Hall’s Garden Center, the town Post Office, Berkeley Cleaners, and Dunkin’ Donuts. Duckies are available for adoption at just $5 each.
Funds raised by the Festival go first to Governor Livingston High School Senior Scholarships.
This event also supports other Rotary Club’s projects, including our Medic-Alert program for over 200 area solo senior citizens, helping over 400 local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and supporting in-town organizations such as the Police Department, Volunteer Rescue Squad, the Public Library, all school libraries, and Memorial Park Committee, to name a few.
The Rubber Ducky Festival is a Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights event, in cooperation with the Suburban Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Berkeley Heights Recreation Department.
