Healthy Italia Celebrates Grand Opening Saturday May 21 in Madison

MADISON, NJ — Healthy Italia – La Buona Cucina, the Italian specialty market that’s been generating buzz throughout Morris County, will hold a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, May 21 at the store’s location at 55 Main Street.

Healthy Italia will open at 10 a.m. and customers will be treated to complimentary espresso, muffins, crostatina, and marscapone cheese with fresh bread.

Town officials will gather at 11 a.m. for a ribbon cutting followed by a toast to wish the store “in bocca al lupo” (good luck!)

There will be entertainment, activities, and food samples throughout the day including:

• Flavored risotto prepared by Laura Orlando, head cooking instructor at the Healthy Italia Cooking School. Noon to 2 p.m.

• Homemade focaccia served  2p.m. to 3 p.m.

• Wine tastings by Cambridge Wines of Morristown. Learn which Italian wines are best paired with antipasti, and cheese and jellies. 3p.m. to 6 p.m.

• Specialty olive oil tastings throughout the day.

Customers can enter a raffle for the chance to win a Healthy Italia gift basket, a large jar of fresh fruit imported from Italy, and, the grand prize, a private event in the Cooking School for up to 18 people.

Since opening in March, Healthy Italia has received high praise for the quality of its products and for recreating the unique feel of a rustic Italian marketplace. All the products that are imported for Healthy Italia are in the United States for the first time.

Opening in June will be the much-anticipated Healthy Italia Cooking School featuring authentic Italian family recipes.
