Come to our info session to find out how your family can grow through Scouting!

We’ll be in the Hughes Gym this Thursday, October 12 from 7-8:30pm with a bunch of fun Halloween themed activities for kids and parents. We’ll also have current Scouting volunteers on hand to tell you what you can expect to gain if you decide to join the program.  Boys in grades K-5 are eligible to join; the whole family is welcome to attend meetings.

We are Neighbors and Taxpayers Just Like You

October 18, 2017

My name is Jeanne Kingsley and I am currently proudly serving as Berkeley Heights Town Council Vice President, having been elected to represent all residents. My running mate, John Sincaglia, and I are just like you: neighbors and taxpayers.  And, just like you, we want to know exactly how our money is spent: Are we getting the most out of every dollar? Are expected services and ...

Why Purple? Because All Residents Deserve a Voice!

As Alvaro Medeiros and I have gone door-to-door across Berkeley Heights in the last few months, talking with and listening to residents, we’ve had a great time meeting all kind of people and learning how we can serve them better when elected to the Township Council. The common thread through many of these conversations is a feeling of frustration. Residents have articulated how things that ...

It's Always About Affordability

Maintaining Affordability means: Controlling costs. Managing resources. Evaluating alternatives.  Planning for contingencies. Comparing wants versus needs.

These are critical aspects for anyone responsible for running a business or a governmental unit, and it is within these areas that my experience will be an asset to the Township Council and the community.

For almost 30 years, ...

Election Talk at The Dinner Table

October 21, 2017

Why do we vote? That discussion is a good exercise in opening up a few family talks on ethics and personal responsibility. It will also help your children, partner, husband or wife better understand your own concerns about the community.

The recent debate and Community TV interviews offer great information on our candidates.

But honest dinner conversation just might ...

LaZare: Bringing Passion to Our Politics

Time was, New Jersey residents could at least count on their elected representatives to be good stewards of their funds they paid in taxes:  to maintain their roads, their obligations, and their air and water.  Those times are long gone.  For close to three decades, administrations of all political stripes have hedged here, and borrowed there, and put the state on a depressing ...

A New Face in Politics: Lacey Rzeszowski

Maybe it’s the changing of the leaves and the cooler weather, the exciting race to the World Series, that brings to mind what Yogi Berra once said, “You can observe a lot by watching.”  The last couple of months I have been observing a new face in politics -- Lacey Rzeszowski, Democratic candidate for Assembly in our district (LD21).  What I have observed is a woman ...
